I’m inspired by minimalist abstract art. By heavily using colors and speculative texture, my art appeals to viewers’ emotional side, therefore making viewers’ initial reaction to my pieces the most important. My art is a visual exploration of healing, confronting my own personal challenges and emotions. Each completed piece provides me with optimism about overcoming trauma. Art helps me convey the feelings and emotions to the viewer that I felt at the time of making them. When I start a painting, there are no rules. Sometimes, I know what I’m going to do. Sometimes, it is the opposite. Often, I surprise myself and make beautiful mistakes. Art is my space of freedom and healing.
