As an abstract painter, Donald Wass views painting as an attempt to bring order to chaos. For him, the process involves piecing together elements such as color, line, and shape, akin to solving a puzzle. While these components can be arranged in numerous ways, he believes only one configuration will ultimately feel complete. The pursuit of this resolution defines his creative journey, with much of his time in the studio devoted to chasing that sense of rightness.
