Janice La Motta is a visual artist who has balanced a forty year career as a practicing artist while serving in the positions of museum curator, gallerist, artistic director and most recently as executive director of a nonprofit art organization. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the country. A native of New Jersey, La Motta is a BFA graduate of the Hartford Art School, CT. She lives and works in Ulster County, New York.
Seren Morey is a New York City based artist who makes sculptural paintings through extrusion, informed by quantum mechanics and fairy tales. Her biological/botanical hybrids reference the all-encompassing universality of particle energy.
Chancy Glance is the creative efforts of artist couple Cydney & Craig DeBastiani. Based in Morgantown, WV, these self-taught artists rely on intuition and spirit in their process. Creating work individually and collaboratively, Chancy Glance strives to invoke serenity and happiness through their work. They utilize mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolors, ink, graphite, clay, and other mixed media to deliver ever-changing and evolving works of art. Along with being artists, they are also musicians, photographers, actors, animators, and nature lovers.
Lauren Portada currently lives and works in NY and NJ. She has exhibited nationally and internationally in New York, Chicago, L.A., India and Norway. She was one of ten founding members of the artist-run collective Regina Rex located in Brooklyn and Manhattan from 2010-2018. She held residencies in India (Fulbright), Svalbard, Norway, and Vidgelmir Cave, Iceland. Recent shows include Transmitter Gallery, BK (solo; 2019) The Pit, LA (2018) Kristen Lorello, NY (2018) and Trestle, BK (2020).
Ayane Kurai paints from the soul, rendering her subjects into soft abstraction. Painting is the most accurate form of her self expression. Marrying physical and mental she is able to emote with the world through her art. Ayane uses all senses available to her when working, combining all aspects of her subject to create a work that most accurately embodies everything about it.
Following initial studies at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Peter Colquhoun moved to Italy and at first settled in Venice for 6 months. Later he painted and exhibited in various cities including a solo exhibition at the Fenice Gallery in Venice in 1985. He also taught at a small art school in Casole d’Elsa, Tuscany. After returning from Italy, cityscape became an area of interest and activity as it is to the present day in New York City, his home.

Christina's mixed-media works are engaged in a perpetual struggle to burst out of whatever shape that holds them together. A philosopher once said that any artwork is a battle between material and content - this cannot be truer when Christina uses fabric like khakis, linen, and yarn that usually function to clothe and decorate our bodies but in her works given freedom to emanate energy on their own. In a sense, her approach seems like a rebellion against the way we in the modern times tend to bend nature as an object of our own use. When given the smallest crevice, nature will re-emerge in its full majestic force.
Kevin is an abstract painter and collage artist utilizing techniques that emphasize the process of painting through making the artist’s movement and layering of material visible in the work. Color, shape and line are visual cues employed to spark memories and experiences that the artist hopes can relay a common shared experience with the viewer. An upstate New York native, Kevin resides and creates art in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Fairytales exist everywhere people have desires and dreams - and Elody is ready to listen to it. They may take the form of more traditional iconography like dragons and damsels, or something specific to the modern city like ghostly, faceless figures in the crowd. Both ways yield the view of human bodies as they are molded by images projected onto them by ourselves and by others.
In the age of migration and multicultural families, no one has to be one thing - Winnie straddles three countries of Indonesia, China, and the U.S where she worked as educator as well as artist. In her mixed-media works, tropical and botanical motifs are not relegated as an exotic backdrop but intermingle with human bodies. Some motifs are more pronounced, like figures sitting in the position of or making hand gestures of Buddha. But Winnie's playful collage uses these pieces to resist the sense of a fixed origin, fully giving in celebrating rather than resisting the confusions of having multitudinous identities.
"I had a Museum show at the Islip Museum called Print Up Ladies. I was in the company of my life long idols such as Murray, Frankenthaler, Swoon, Yuskagave, and Bontecou to name a few. I have shown at St. Joseph’s College, MacArthur Airport, and Alfred Loen Gallery, as well as the Painting Center in Chelsea, and the Omni Gallery in Uniondale. I have exhibited at the Hecksher Museum Biennial, M. David and Company, Denise Bibro and George Billis Gallery."
James Hsieh (b. 1990,U.S.A.) earned his MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons the New School for Design. Growing up in the countryside of Taiwan, he spent his childhood roaming his grandfather’s farmland and got inspired from the nature. In his current art practices, he transforms soft felt, textile and fabric into solid sculptures that ultimately become large-scale installation.
