Isolated Play grapples with some of the main themes Hattori explores through their work, such as the tension between Japanese heritage and queer identity. The demon masks that cover the woman and the cheetah’s faces give the work a perverse feel to it. While the work is vibrant and playful, it has an underlying wicked intensity to it.

The work comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
