Marin was thinking about “making the best out of a sticky situation” when he was creating Good Germs. He is most delighted by the deep purple pool of resin, atop which multi-colored curved lines forms a smile. Freeform shapes of yellow green—a shade in the artist’s favorite palette—tightly surrounds this purple pool of resin.
