    Warmth radiates from deep within Jadie’s self portrait, created from layers of trembling lines as if floating on top of water. Although the artist wears a nonchalant expression, the specks of different jewel tones mixed into her skin capture the effects of natural light that is as ever-changing as her own inner state. The dripping of black paint from her hair is also a whimsical touch, a literal rendering of the "fluid" feeling of this painting in general.
