BIO
Gina Iannucci was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She studied art in college and recently returned to Long Island after spending more than 20 years living and working as a full-time artist in the Caribbean. During her time there, she ran a ceramic studio, painting studio, and a manufacturing company in the Virgin Islands for over 16 years. Her art is heavily influenced by her connection to nature and the sea. The time she spent living by the ocean has left a permanent mark on her spirit, becoming part of who she is. Currently, she’s focusing on large-scale abstract pieces using spray paint on canvas, incorporating tropical fauna, botanicals, and found objects like rope and fishing nets. As nature shifts through the seasons, so too does her art, evolving with the world around her.
My work reflects the rhythms and textures of my environment. I’m drawn to the organic simplicity of nature—whether the ebb and flow of the tides or foraged objects found along the shore and paths I walk along. I strive to capture the essence of these moments allowing viewers to connect with the emotions behind each piece and the natural world. As a multidisciplinary artist, I work across painting, ceramics, and photography, using these mediums to explore the beauty in imperfection and the serenity and infinite inspiration that nature offers.
