An award winning contemporary abstract painter, Fuchs’ work is featured globally in hospitality and corporate art collections. Her paintings have appeared on over 75 TV and film productions. She has created her vibrant energy infused art in the various places she has lived including Los Angeles, Hawaii, Portland Oregon, Santa Fe and currently St. Petersburg, FL. Her interest in metaphysics informs her studio practice where color and brushstrokes make the invisible seen.
I call my work spiritual graffiti. As a process painter influenced by the abstract expressionists, I share the credo: “It’s not what goes on the canvas but how it gets there.” This mystery of what might happen is what compels me to paint. The end result of my work is a capture of my psyche at the time of creation. The paintings are ultimately notes to myself from myself: a non-verbal diary of my life’s events and subconscious curiosities.
