Self-taught artist Natasha Monahan Papousek finds inspiration in everyday backyard beauty. During her more than 25 years of working as a secretary, Natasha tried to fit her art in the spare moments of her life. When her father passed without fulfilling his dream of sharing his passionate paintings, she pivoted to fully embrace her artistic journey. Using a unique upcycling process, her mosaic-like collages celebrate nature’s resilience, evoking joy and revealing beauty in the world around us.

I celebrate nature's overlooked beauty, resilience, and our interconnectedness with all living things through vibrant painted paper collages. Native pollinators, endangered species and varied ecosystems showcase boundless wonders, inspiring my art. I am passionate about small acts like planting native plants that may safeguard disappearing butterflies and other species. My layered art inspires appreciating and protecting our extraordinary world. Each piece sings praise of planet's marvels - a heartfelt tribute to this precious shared home.
