BIO
Ryan Zogheb graduated from New York University in May 2022, earning his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a major in studio art, concentrating in painting and graphic design. Ryan lives and works out of his studio in East Village in New York City. Since graduating, Ryan has had his work featured in four gallery exhibitions and has most recently completed a residency at Carrie Able Gallery in Brooklyn, and at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Ryan Zogheb’s drawings and paintings embrace the subconscious through haunting expressionist portraits and florals. Using solely the grayscale and working only from life, his work becomes surreal and allows for more gestural renderings of form to come through and for the artist’s hand to always be held within the work. Through the progression of Zogheb’s work, viewers begin to perceive the emotional directionality and intentional sensitivity of the artistic process itself.
