I love comics, science fiction illustrations, retro technology, and antiques
of all shapes and sizes. I’ll collect pretty much anything from the 1950s to
2000s, including comics, old board games, vintage fishing licenses, Kodak
advertisements, trading cards and matchbooks. Nostalgia is something
that influences my life every day, and that retro aesthetic—from a time
when things were manually made, lo-fi, rugged, raw, and cheesy—all
feeds into my visual work.
“Optical Processing” represents my thoughts, feelings, and memories
in a visual form. Using resin allows me to encase these visual fragments
in time and observe the ways in which my mind works. This has given
me a chance to look deeper within myself, to truly see who I am at my
core, and learn how to keep evolving as a person and an artist.
Tangible art intangible emotions.
