My current work consists of improvisational and responsive drawing on paper and wood. I make complex process-driven images, often developed through an accumulation of marks. My approach to abstraction arises from intersections of my affection for the landscape, of an embodied presence in the world, and an exploration of a Jewish visual vocabulary. I employ layered mark-making to create meaning through repetition. I make images and objects that resonate with the past, but live in the present.
